Harry and the Vertbaudet Shirt | Review

My boys are really quite different. Their body shape is different, different colours suit them and different styles of clothes suit them.
Charles is at the stage where he knows what he wants to wear. He is confident in telling me what he feels comfortable in and most of  the time will be in a cotton tshirt, a polo top or his favourite...a shirt.
Harry on the other hand is very much stuck on clothes that have Mickey Mouse on them. It's a fight to get him to wear anything else. We have been known to tell him a Mickey Mouse top is dirty, when actually it's just been put in his drawer all fresh and clean, just so he will wear something else.
When given the opportunity to review an item of clothing from Vertbaudet's new Spring/Summer range for him I decided to go for something he might not usually wear. I chose the orange shirt with jumbo checks.

I really liked the colours in this, I feel the orange suits all seasons so would look nice and bright in the Spring and Summer yet would suit the tones of Autumn in the colder months.
I was attracted to the jumbo checks over a smaller, tighter check that I have purchased in the past. I also liked the cute single pearlised button at the top of the shirt.

When the shirt arrived Harry liked it immediately, for someone quite fussy about his clothes this was a great sign, the next hurdle was to get him to put the shirt on. Which, surprisingly, went really well. He was more than happy to pose for photos and chose to keep the shirt on and asked everyone on the school run (as well as my brother and my husband) "you like-a my new shiiiiiiirt-a?"
The shirt is great quality and washes really well.
My only criticism is down to size. Harry is 2 and a half, I ordered him a size 3 and it fits perfectly on the arms but I'm not sure how long it will last around his tummy. He isn't a big boy by any means, so I feel the shirt is quite snug and may not last as long as I hoped it would. But for now it is ok, especially when paired with a black gilet.
And clearly, looks fetching when worn along with a Planes helmet. His choice....not mine.

Harry was sent this shirt for the purpose of this review.
